Message from Chairperson of APEN Japan Chapter

Welcome to the site of THE ASIA PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION NETWORK.

APEN has been founded on July 6th 2011 and it is the first education network in Asia specially aims to produce super professionals who can solve the many issues that industry confronts now and in the future.

Most of the graduate school in Asia focuses on to develop the high level researcher and they compete the outcome of the research. However, Asian country confronts the real industrial problem and the technical issues. We face in the real world, are not exercises. Each problem requires a solution that comes from various disciplines. Issues in the real world are not so simple they can be resolved only with the acquisition of the systematic knowledge provided by a traditional graduate School education. On the contrary, real issues are so cumbersome and complex that it is difficult even to understand their nature if one is only equipped with traditional knowledge.

Thus our APEN focus on the education programs designed for graduate students who seek to obtain the latest knowledge and outstanding competence and who eager to be high professional in the real world.

I look forward to welcoming any University to have same thought and to join the APEN.

Seiichi Kawata

Chair of APEN Japan Chapter
