Welcome to APEN Student Club (ASC)!

This is an information exchange site for Asian students. What kind of information do we exchange? Of course, anything is O.K. We talk about learning, education environment, student life, Asia, Asian countries, trips, local culture, and so on.

We are students, so let’s communicate each other eagerly and frankly. We believe knowing is the first step of friendship.  In other words, this is the site everyone can be a contributor. Please feel  free to join. Your participation makes ASC truly real.

We hope ASC will promote uniting Asia  firmly.

APEN  Student Club aims the creation of a new form of communication in Asia.

The 21st century is a century for Asia. Many countries in this area have been keeping on remarkable growth. Especially, long-lived business expansion have been expected in the manufacturing sector. Here, one of important key for the continuation of this glory is industrial human resource development. Asia Professional Educational Network (APEN) was born for that.

APEN is an international organization that  was established in June 2011. This organization intends to spread the education  type Project Based Learning (PBL) that is extremely excellent for developing industrial human resources in university education (graduate school) to Asia.

APEN Student Club (ASC) is a student exchange organization working under the APEN. Member is composed of students of educational institutions belonging to the APEN, and we will be a basis that creates a variety of mutual exchange activities for making next Asian relationship. ASC will, namely, become bonds maker in Asia.

Your interest is our future. We look forward to active participation of students.

Ikuyo Yoshida

She has been a freelance writer in Information Technology since February 1988. One day, she went to the Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology for having an interview with the president, instantly liked this educational institution. After that, she was enrolled and took Master Program of Innovation for Design and Engineering, has graduated in
2011. She is also interested in all languages on earth, now is learning the Korean and Uzbekistan. She runs for fun from time to time.

He graduated from AIIT with a Master Program of Innovation for Design and Engineering, in 2011. He is working for software development company provides software for management accounting and project management. He is interested in photography and studying with ex-students now.

Yuriko Tamura

She has 30 years experience of embedded software development, such as programing, system engineering and software quality assurance. In order to learn the newest engineering systematicly, she studied in the Advance Institute of Industrial Technology. Interested in the service engineering and the system integration design at the school, she chose those as the theme of PBL (project based learning) in the last grade. She graduated the school in 2012 and joined ASC as a stuff.

APEN held the APEN JAIF Project Seminar in Thailand under the JAIF (Japan ASEAN Integration Fund) scheme at Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology of Thailand (TNI) jointly hosted with TNI. In the seminar, Dr. Krissanapong Kirtikara, Chaiman of Kasetsart University Council and Mr. Suwanchai Lohawatanakul, the Executive Director for Business Development, Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) delivered keynote speeches. After the speeches, representatives from AIIT and active APEN JAIF Project leaders from Indonesia (Prof. Ade Sjafruddin), Malaysia (Prof. Sha’ri Mohd Yusof) and Philippines (Prof. Alvin B. Culaba) presented APEN JAIF Project outcomes of each chapter to Thai people. In the last, presenters and floor exchange the opinion how to disseminate the outcomes of the project in Thailand.
